How Does a Fungal Roots Mushroom Grow Kit Work?
We have taken all of the hard work out of the process for you. When you purchase a Fungal Roots Ready to Fruit Mushroom Grow Kit you will receive a full colonized hardwood sawdust block colonized with the mushroom species of your choice. Our sawdust blocks are made in house. On occasion if we are not able to meet demand we may utilize blocks produced by Fun Guy Farms, located in Eau Claire WI.
What’s in The Fungal Roots Mushroom Grow Kit Box?
It’s a fully colonized sawdust block that will sprout mushrooms soon after arriving at your door. Included in the box a mini mister and a few stickers for your new hobby!
What other Equipment is Needed?
You do not need any other equipment to use the Fungal Roots Mushroom Grow Kit. If you want to try one out you can simply take the block out of the box, cut about 1 inch off of one of the top corners and you are ready to go. After cutting the corner of the bag you have exposed the block to fresh air. This will trigger the growth of mushrooms. At this point be sure to set your grow kit in a shaded cool spot in your home. You want to expose the grow kit to ambient light but NOT direct sunlight. Be sure to keep the inside of the bag moist by misting the block lightly a few times a day as needed to keep the humidity high inside the bag. This can be done using the mini mister that comes in the box. Do NOT over spray! You want a light mist on the top of the block but no standing water. Excess water can lead to bacteria and mold growth which will contaminate your grow kit and at that point need to be thrown out.
